Monsoon brings cheer to many. It’s a boon to farmers who are
toiling to feed the country. And you are sure to get mesmerized if your are travelling
in train especially via Konkon. Railways
is always committed to focus on the safety of its passengers and its
more challenging when the trains run through the scenic western ghats of Konkan
railway during monsoon. The marshy hill through which trains are tunnelled
through does pose a challenge for the loco pilots. Hence its necessary to bring
down the speed for trains that run in Konkan during the rainy and windy days of
South-west monsoon. With this in mind Konkon Railway introduces monsoon
timetable aimed at providing safe passage of trains and at the same to provide
a predictable and reliable service.
This year introduction of monsoon timetable is advanced to
10th of June, 2015 as against 1st July,2015 the date as
per Public time table and Working time table. This timetable will continue up
to 31st October, 2015.
Accordingly the arrival of few trains will be advanced/postponed at the
terminating stations. Some of the TVC division trains (Down trains) are:

issued tickets prior to announcement of monsoon time table should recheck their
timings before the journey date and for which you may use 139 services.
